The masts have been built, which was a bit fiddly trying to get them all square to each other.

It now needs to be rigged and then finishing touches like the anchors.

Getting there.

I've started the main rigging which is quicker and easier than I'd hoped. I might actually finish this kit in the next couple of days!!

Ayup Bri...

Superb build.

How did you decide which lines to rig first etc. did you just follow the destructions or figure out a better way for yourself? which lines took priority?

Very impressive! Does the kit come with sails or instructions for making furled sails?

You know, I've been watching this build and thinking how extraordinary the detail was that you were putting into it, but it's only when you've posted those last pictures that I've worked out how big it was. I honestly thought that it was going to be huge, but unless you drink wine in magnum sized bottles, it's probably about half the size I had estimated! Just makes the detail even more phenomenal.

Really excellent work Brian!

Well Done Brian

I hope you make a full recovery, your brain must be frazzled from all that rigging! I bet a Vickers Vimy beats that anyday!

Thanks guy's!

It was quite hard work and I'm now going to have a break from the 'heavy' stuff for a while and do a simple kit next.

Cheers

This deserves a bump.  A spectacular model!
