As everyone seems to be chomping at the bit for a jets GB, I'm starting a poll (the one and only true, official, sanctioned, no-toys-thrown-out-of-the-pram-oh-God-Adrian's-in-a-huff-again poll).
As discussed in the "Future GBs" thread, when it comes around, the jet GB will be a single subject, but any mark and any scale - for instance, if the Harrier is chosen, you can build any variant in either 1/72 or 1/48 (or even 1/24 if you're so inclined).
To start off with, I'm polling just for the subject - for no reason other than it shortens the list, I've restricted it to those jets which are available in more than one scale. I'll poll for dates when this poll finishes, in two weeks from 20th September. _________________ Cheers,
Adrian

Lightning for me. Although I could be convinced for the Buccaneer. The Jaguar would be really cool to do in the farewell scheme, but I don't know when decals will be available for it.

Sorry, not in for any of those and as there's no "no thanks" option, we'll just refrain 'tis all a bit Franco-British for our tastes, with no Soviet/Eastern Bloc or U.S. stuff of any note unless you count AV-8s (hah! that's not American - that's British!) _________________ Airbusians. |

Sorry Dan (or Paula), I'd missed that off. I've put one in now - it's valid to have it in there, because if we don't get a result I'll try again with some other subjects.
As we'd discussed multiple scales before, I thought that was a reasonable way to limit the number of choices, but I hadn't realised that left us with (as you say) nothing but British and French jets. _________________ Cheers,

No worries Adrian... your approach is a jolly good and understandable one but it does limit the selection of nationalities somewhat. Now voted in the negatory.

Well the Tornado is only a third British, the others bits being German and Italian!
Manufacturer wise it is a european list, but in terms of operators most of the aircraft have been used by a variety of countries, lots of schemes and markings there!

I've voted for Tornado, thinking of the F3 in particular. Would have loved to have seen the F14 in the listing though, itching for an excuse to start it, one of Airfix's best kits in my humble opinion. _________________ Modelling - Buy twenty, research ten, build one (eventually).

As I have five Airfix Harriers guess what I voted for
Incidentally, I also have two other brand GR7's and decals to do all seven of them as different RAF Wittering examples _________________ and was Jerusalem, builded here

I voted Etendard (thinking, actually, SUPER Etendard) because it's such a well-engineered kit. _________________ “The farther backward you can look, the farther forward you are likely to see.” Winston Churchill |

It's a shame there are no F-Series Aircraft on the list, I'd like to have a crack at my Airfix F-15.
I have a 1/48 Tornado that'd look cool once built up though _________________ Owen

Just a few days left to go on this one. Looks like the Bucc and Mirage are out of the running, but there's hope for any of the others to catch up with the Tornado.
I'm going to leave my vote until the end, just in case there's a tie, or on the off-chance that someone would like to bribe me with vast amounts of cash in used notes. _________________ Cheers,

If the lightning wins I would like to take part, looks like an easy build and it's the only plane that's on that list in my stash that's in my wardrobe and not the loft. _________________ 60% of the time it works every time.

The idea was for everyone to build a jet of their choice (Airfix)!
Those sort of GBs gives more Variation! _________________ You must listen to what the baked potato say.....

Erm, no it wasn't. We vote on the subject, and then everyone builds whatever it was that won the vote... _________________ Cheers,
