I decided this morning to go for gloss orange- H18,I applied this and then came the exciting bit...Removing the masking tape Only a couple of small areas have bled through-easily touched in with H30.

Then I started applying the cockpit framing,it was tricky at first getting the decal sheet to stay put  But I learned quick, lay it on,position with tweezers and leave it alone..

I went to finish the cockpit framing with the decal sheet today...Half of the strips I had applied fell off as soon as I touched them
The side strips stayed on,the rest I applied the good old way with a brush.
The undercarriage has been fitted, after super glueing a wheel to my finger
Getting there

I had a bash at applying the decals today, they were rather on the yellow side.
Partly cured by sitting on the window sill since boxing day.

As soon as I dipped the first decal in water I knew I was in for fun..as they resisted coming off the backing paper, lots of micro-sol later they seem to be ok-ish,a bit of silvering ect.Hopefuly some matt varnish will seal them down

Cheers Stu,

Not a bad swop for a bag of marbles and a toffee..
Looking up at it now I do like it,the contrast between matt green and gloss orange is rather "in yer face"

Overall I am happy with my choppity, but not with the decals-but they may be 30 years old.
In this pic one appears to be lifting, having checked it just now it seems to have settled down

One coat of matt varnish applied so far,I will give it another coat and call it a day

I like this one, especially in these markings. Well done!
