For goodness sake, bite the bullet you know you will have to bite sooner or later. Saw it off and clean it out! Ther rest of the model is superb but all you will ever look at is the cockpit.

Regrettably I reckon gerry may be right Rich!

Have you tried static-electricity yet?

All the best

There's probably more chance of him using moving electricity ... he'll throw the TV at it  .................

Find a spot to drill a lifttle bit bigger hole. Crank a  cotton bud and moisten with dilute windsreen washer fluid . Go at like a window cleaning ladies medical person (hows that for a 'U' certificate)

I've finished her up, any cutting or chopping will be done at some point in the future when I'm bored.

Edit, did some work on the photos to get a better colour balance, here are the adjusted shots.

I enjoyed taking part in this successful GB and seeing the other participants models.Thank you to Paula for leading it so well!

I have to say that is a nice looking build despite the canopy hassles.....I can't believe you had to rig a chopper!

Great stuff!

Very nice build Rich,  you effort has convinced me to go buy one and have a crack at it myself.

I have some technical questions  which you maybe might know the answers to them,

Would you know if the rotors were inter connected? or did each operate seperately and auto-rotate if an engine failed?  I was just wondering because of the way you have the rotors posed.  I have to admit I know just about zip when it comes to the Belvedere.

Thanks for all the comments so far!

Robert, pass me a postage stamp and I'll write what I know on the back! According to the Wikipedia reference I used (here) it had and I quote;

Quote:
The two rotors were synchronised through a shaft allowing the aircraft to operate through only one engine in the event of an emergency.

Which sounds eminently sensible to me! I only posed the rotors that way out of a sense of neatness. By the way Heritage Aviation have a kit in 1/48 scale coming out soon, should be quite beast!

Hows this for you Ratch?

Sorry, couldn't get it to balance on a pint glass! ROTFL

Just shows how lighting can effect how a model looks, the blue background came out a lot bluer against the Belvedere, compared to the others I've taken e.g Anson. The quality of light wasn't that good (late afternoon) and because of the length of the model I was further away than normal.

But Rich, that truly is a beautiful model - you've done us all proud with that one. Well done, 10/10, go to the top of the class!

I only wish I had your skills level - and patience.

Splendid Rich!    I've just bought a Belvedere BTW

For your dust problem inside the canopy and now that it's finished, have you tried an anti-static spray or something like that?
