Managed to get some more done, mainly assembling all the bits and pieces and doing some painting and decaling.

Instrument panel was completed with the supplied kit decal, fixed in place with Klear.

The rear bulkhead, seats and some additional framing have been put into the left side of the cabin.

The right half has had the pilots seat, control column and instrument panel attached.

Slightly closer angle, all that needs adding is the foldaway spare seat on the right.
Nearly ready to glue the two halves together - the next big step!

Fuselage halves are glued together. Fit was problematic along the top of the cabin as usual. I did it piece by piece making sure the sides were level.

I've fitted the cabin roof windows, a bit of filing was needed. I'm going to paint the interior frames Hu78 - these areas can be seen once the model is completed, then when this is dry epoxy the windows in place.

Roof windows and the windscreen are in place, once the epoxy has cured I intend to do some filling with milliput fine, which can be smoothed while wet so to minimise the sanding.

I know there's a ruddy great ejector mark (as usual) in the windscreen. I've come to the conclusion the only way to remove this well is with a dremel type tool (which I don't have) or after-market vac canopies - which I intend to use on the next build.

Applied the milliput, I found it very hard to work with this time. Maybe my mix was off, or I need to get some new stuff. Ended up plastered on more like filler.

Hopefully it will all sand down as planned.

Got the fuselage filling to a point I'm happy with. I had to fill over the milliput with some Humbrol filler. I think the milliput was a bit stiff and contained small voids which showed up on sanding.

I polished up the windows and put one coat of Klear on. I masked up to protect them and ready for priming.

Put the wings and tailplanes on. The fit was very good - better than I've found on other Ansons and only requires quite minimal filling.

I've been very restrained with the filler - I do actually mask off sometimes!

I also drilled out and made the windows in the nose and added the landing light.

It's all pretty much ready for priming. I'm going to add the DF loop, aerial mast, tail balance and the aileron actuators and put the flap ribbing detail on with plastic card - then on with the primer!

All cleaned up and ready for the final detailing.

This consisted of adding the DF loop and aerial mast, the windscreen wiper assemblies (wipers to be added at the end), the little mast on the nose and the pitot tube underneath. I also did the tail balance and aerial spigot.

I then finished up the wings by adding the aileron activators and hinges.

I also added a bit of detail to the flaps, not very accurate, but not a lot can be seen once the flaps themselves are added.

Just waiting for everything to dry and harden before putting the primer on.

Got the Hu130 satin white applied eventually, horrible stuff in the big 120ml tins, I used some from a 14ml tinlet I found which went on bootifully!

THe paint runs on the nacelle were sanded off smooth . Next step is masking off to apply the upper surface camo.

'Bootifully' is the incorrect pronunciation Rich!

Contrary to Mr. Matthews the 'T' is not emphasised if discernable at all.

Dew yew keep a'Troshin' 'bor.

Masking on courtesy of Mr. Tamiya and his excellent tape.

First coat of Hu31 Slate is on, a very green grey, had me a little worried. I consulted Urban's charts and it does seem to be correct for RAAF.

Got the Hu79 on, there was a strange darker edge to the delination. Hopefully this will disappear once overcoated with gloss cote.

Finished up the camouflage painting and unmasked. I'm in the process of applying the gloss coats. I have got the undercarriage on, just need to remember to do the flaps ready for final assembley.

Put the decals on, didn't take long - there's not very many! Put the wheels on and the exhausts. Painted the engines black and dry brushed with aluminium, stuck the props on. Painted the oil coolers and nose machine gun, did the interior of the turret Hu78, dry fitted the turret canopy - fits OK. Painted up some plastic rod to build into the lewis gun mount. Did some work on scratchbuilding the flaps. All the last minute faffing on small bits - hopefully put the first satin cote on today.

Finished the upper sides with a matt cote, then unmasked all the windows. Just got to find sufficient quiet time when I'm not going to be interrupted to get the window framing on. The flaps are all finished, so it's just that and a bit of final assembly.
