cheers Ratch, have attached railings to Bridge area and painted the signal projectors black including the lense bits of PE, will do the lenses silver tonight then fit the PE before getting them on the bridge signal deck.  Also painted the 20 mm AA  guns black, will paint the guards light grey then have some fun trying to fit them together. Will post a few more pics later tonight, need to give the old eyes a rest.

Well still waiting for some paint to dry so have tried a dry fit of some components, really seem to be getting somewhere as she starts to take shape, still a long way to go but pleased so far.

I can but try, as I said earlier I tend to do a few bits at a time and spend no more than 20 or so minutes at a session especially on the fidly stuff, gives you plenty of time to figure out and plan the next bit, seems to suit my style of build, I find myself looking through the referance material frequently as well , which all helps, she wont be a perfect and exact  model, but I hope for a good representation of the real thing, I try to make little bits stand out so that the eye is drawn to them, doing that means that the less good bits get glossed over.

Checked on the paint drying for my 20mm Oerlikons they are dry so will have a go at assembly tonight.

done a bit more tonight, more painting on the boats, fixed the blast shelter thingies, which it turns out are the gun's crew's shelters so I wasnt far out!
Also made up A & B turrets prior to painting and made up the aft shelter deck with secondary armament.  Painted the PE railings in AP507C will probably need another coat tomorrow to get proper coverage.

Also painted the PE semaphores in white, these will go on the aft bridge signal deck area near to the signal lights.

Not much progress to report, was away camping at the weekend, have painted the turrets and funnels, they just need the PE attaching, have also put a second coat on the guardrails as well as priming a few more pieces of PE, boats are coming along nicely so should be able to fit the shelter deck shortly and start building up.

Progress to date, more PE attached and a dry fit tried, had a few snags with boats and been playing with lolli pop sticks to make timber for the timber stowages.  Lots of bits painted so should see some more progress over the next few days.

Cheers Ratch, am enjoying this 0ne, have struggled with the boats though, been experimenting with the painting order and not got it right yet, have just finished painting "X & Y" turrets, will soon be time to get into the serious PE.
