Well, I dug the box out of the stash last night - slight moment of panic when I couldn't find it and wondered whether I'd sold it on!
With apologies for the dodgy colour & slightly wonky photos, here's the box and sprue shots:
As you can see, the kit has three sprues of medium grey plastic, plus one clear. My example doesn't look too bad in terms of flash. _________________ Cheers,

Made a start on the cockpit - seats in and quick splash of H64 to prime it.
Not decided which scheme to go for yet - quite like the look of the silver ones. _________________ Cheers,

More work on the cabin. Casting aside anything like historical accuracy, I've decided to go for red carpets, burgundy upholstery and cream walls - I'm letting my inner Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen shine through !

There is enough room on the rear "shelf" for a mini bar...

Cabin now finished, in the aforementioned colour scheme. The cockpit is painted in a more muted interior green, light and dark grey.
The fuselage halves have been painted in corresponding red/cream/interior green.
Undercarraige also assembled and wheels painted:

Well, I was thinking of making it as the King's Flight version, so definitely only VIP's allowed on board! _________________ Cheers,

...and filling... and sanding... Again, not much filler required so far - just a case of making sure none of the seams are proud.

I imagine because the seating layout of the Kings flight machine would different than the standard commercial versions. There were a number different seating varitions provided by DH. Including one with four large corner seats/sofa type seats. Rapides often squeezed in a seat for a radio operator immediately behind the cockpit on the RHS of the cabin.
It would be a good bet the seating arrangment would simililar to this. |

Ah, playing the old "Historical Accuracy" card. Thank heavens I can trump that with the "I couldn't give a monkeys" card that I secreted up my sleeve before we started playing
The Kings flight is one of the options included in the standard kit, which makes no mention of any different seating layouts. Whilst I'm not disagreeing that it may very well be different, I'm going for a more-or-less OOB build, so I'll stick with what I've got. _________________ Cheers,

Usually the VIP or 'Royal' aircraft have more space per passenger. ie. less seats. _________________ Pax Britannica
