It is time to consider the subject for the next next Military Vehicle Group Build.
As we have previously discussed the possibilty of an Anti Aircraft build and there seems to be some interest in this taking place here is a poll to see how many participants we raise.
The subjects will be as follows:
88mm gun and tractor
Bofors gun and tractor
Bristol Bloodhound and associated vehicles
Conversion based on an Airfix kit
We will see how many people we get and then set a date. I will also be looking for a group build leader for this one although as usual I will wear the hat if no one else wishes to take a one pace forward.
Cheers
Stu
Forgot to mention poll will run for 7 days

Nice one Ratch, I will be pushed to decide on a subject, a conversion may be on the cards although after the LCMIII build perhaps an out of the box Bofors or 3 might fit the bill.
Cheers

At last! I'd do the conversion. _________________ Collectable kits built here. Baggies, blisters or boxed. You collect 'em, but I'll build 'em. |

I have at least an 88mm gun lurking somewhere. I was trying to cut back on Group Builds... but what the heck, I'm in! _________________ Cheers,

Definitely up for it. Not sure which kit I'd go for as I have all three in the stash. The Bofors because I never built it as a kid, the 88 because I did and thought it a great model, the Bloodhound for pure nostalgia.

A very worthy investment, because the sights are definitely the weakest part of the kit as it stands and they were quite distinctive.....Unfortunately I'll be needing ten so that's another £20 gone in a flash!
I shall only be doing one or two for the build mind you!
Would it be acceptable to build undeployed Bofors & their tractors for this GB and deployed guns without tractors, but with crews for the Figures GB? All of this would be contribuitng overall towards OSL of course!
All the best |

I have voted to take part in this as I have 4 Bloodhounds to build for a 1960's airfield I have planned, but I might slip a Bofors Gun of two in there as well , I would also like to bite the bullet and apply to be GB leader.
Cheers,
Luke

We have 9 votes for this build to go ahead so I have sent a pm to Dave asking him to set up the required forums and user groups as is usual. Part of this will be a poll to establish the start date.
I will also be contacting Hawk by pm to ensure that he still wishes to be the leader of this group build, if so Dave or one of the admin chaps will give him the required permissions to allow people to sign up to the user group and I believe the ability to moderate this particular build.
Let us hope that all 9 voters take part in the build, plenty of possibilities with this one, should be interesting.
Cheers

A quick update on this build. Hawk has confirmed that he will lead the build, thanks again Luke
Ratch is putting in place the various Group Build threads and setting up the user group etc.
There seems to be plenty of interest in this build, it should be fun
Cheers

Luke,
You create the threads when people sign up to the usergroup - you will receive notification when they do so.
However, no one is going to sign up until someone announces that the build is now available - take a look in one of the GB admin threads for a similar mail and then post one here. _________________ Cheers,
