Cheers

I'm currently involved with the Harrier GB, so it will probably be a couple of weeks until I start.  Looking through my stash, I have a few options.  Canberra, Hurricane 1/48, Javelin and many Spitfire's.

I'll have a little think on it.

I'm going to go with the BAC Canberra B(I)6 kit.  If I can find it, I'm going to use the Kits at war set for Bomber Command Canberra's.

If I can't find that decal set I might invest in the Model Alliance set.

Made a start last night.  So far the wings are together and the cockpit is built and painted.

A shot of the box art and bits loose in the box.

Good progress ginger75, this was one of the few 'modern' jets that I built.....A late family friend was involved in the design of parts of this aircraft.

For what it's worth& all the best
BTW - I do like your clamps, where did you get them from please?

Cheers Sgt.  I remember a program a few years back on the development of the Canberra.  Very interesting.  I was lucky to see the PR.9 on it's last tour of duty in the Middle East.

The clamps are from Tesco.  They had a seasonal section with diy bits.  I think they were a pound for a tube of clamps.  If you are quick you should still be able to find them, but they are now changing over to the garden theme for summer.

Just a quick update.  Due to work I've not had a chance to take the build further.  Hopefully I should get started again tomorrow.  Still waiting for the the decals to arrive.

Cheers

Decals have arrived.  Should get it primed and painted over the weekend.  Going to go with an overall silver scheme.

Managed to get the silver on yesterday and the decals on today.  Just waiting for the serial sheet and touch up the final few bits.

I might as well put these shots on now while I wait for the serials to arrive.

Thanks everyone.  I didn't think I would be this far before the deadline!  Just hope the serial sheet turns up before Jun.   Cheers!

Right.  This won't be finished on time.  I'm still waiting for the sheet to arrive and now I'm off to a wedding, so I won't be back until late in the weekend.
