I won't be starting this until I've finished my Harrier GB which should be finished by this time next week at the latest (if all goes to plan!!).

Apologies for the late start. Got the kit out of my stash today and washed the sprues. Building will commence properly tomorrow.

Got the modelling bug again so I'm cracking on with my two unfinished and now late group builds

Painted the pilots face Hu61 (Flesh) and cemented the wing halves together.
Once the face has dried in an hour or two I shall paint the flying suit Hu86 (Light Olive).
Think this should be quite a quick build, nothing complicated and only a simple colour colour scheme (famous last words!!).

Pilot has been fully painted in the following colours: Hu130 (Satin White) Helmet and Gloves, Hu61 (Flesh) Face, Hu33 (Matt Black) Face Mask, Hu21 (Satin Black) Visor and Boots and finally Hu61 (Light Olive) for the Flying Suit.

New digital camera arrived today so if I log on later tonight when it's fully charged I'll post some pics, if not you'll have to wait until tomorrow.

Cheers Ratch, but I think most of the praise should go to the camera. They've moved along way since I bought my last one. Auto focus is much improved and it has super steady shot, so along with the macro function you can just set it to auto and it's almost impossible to take a bad picture!!

Back on topic, this afternoon I cemented the pilot and chair in place, joined the fuselage halves, added the tail, added the air brakes in the closed position and clearfixed the canopy in place.

Still needs sanding in places ready for a coat of primer.

Tidied up the seam lines this morning and added the missile pilons. Also put some more clearfix round the canopy.
Will prime tonight and post some pics.

Here she is primed (looks a bit scruffy at the mo).

Has been given a first coat of Hu164 (Dark Sea Grey) this morning. Will give a second coat tonight.

Here she is with a second coat of 164 applied. Still needs a third coat where it's still a little patchy in places.

Third coat of Hu164 (Dark Sea Grey) has been applied and so has the first coat of the camoflage Hu163 (Dark Green).
I think it will take 3 coats of Hu163 to get a decent finish so I'll post pictures tomorrow when that's done.

Here she is at the mo. All of the camoflage has been applied on the upper surfaces.

Masked off all the undersurfaces this morning and painted the first coat of good old Hu11 (Silver).
Looks very rough but I find that happens all the time when brush painting Humbrol metallics. The second coat is usually comlpetely transforms the look of the model so I'll post some pics when that's done tomorrow.
