Hi Paul, dont forget to vote for a start date, the others have gone for the later start which I think is fine so its me who voted for the earlier one but the later will be better for me too, but up to you mate

Hi Geoff
I think I already voted - all I see is the results, not buttons to select. I don't remember what I chose now either!
And thanks for your comments on my HMS Belfast!
Cheers
Paul
P.S. I suspect I would have voted for a later date, knowing the speed I move at... Exams are looming too, with the ensuing mountain of scripts to mark so a date later than the beginning of June would suit me best. I'll go with majority of course though! |

| Cheers Paul, yes end of July would suit me too as Im off to Italy in my mini early July, deep joy. I really enjoyed the Belfast GB, your small arms and boats turned out much neater than mine and as for the Walruss, well hats off to you on that one. |

Hi Guys
Thanks for voting for the start date, there is another week to run yet and the possibility of a few others maybe joining.
It is looking more than likely that we will be going for the later start date, which should give us plenty of time to get research done. |

Hi All
By my reckoning the start date poll has passed and it looks like the majority back the start date being at the end of July. I have asked Ratch how I tell you all and how to show it on the forum.
So start date 31 July 2008
completion 31 October 2008
so crack on with research and await the starting gun
I am struggling to find a good clear plan view of QE2 at the Falklands, have been in touch with both VT and the IWM without much success.
I have ammased a few good books with photos from various angles, certainly enough to be starting with, but a plan view photo would be great if any of you come across one
Cheers

I splashed out on a set of plans for the Lusitania, ordered from the US from Ebay seller davesdrydock. Not cheap, $20 with postage and I thought I was taking a bit of a chance as the guy has a small but significant amount of negative feedback that can be summarised as 'your plans suck!'.
Well, mine weren't a poor quality photocopy, but I am disappointed. Although labelled in two places as 'Lusitania' they're a generic attempt to cover both ships (Mauretania too) and in the major differences, they seem to be much closer to the Mauretania.
Oh well. I expect they'll still be helpful but they could have been much better!

| Thats a pain in the neck Paul, still at least youve got something, Ive drawn a complete blank on plans for the helicopter pads fitted to QE2, still have managed to get enough decent pics from a few books to give me a good enough idea of the layout, sorry guys Ive not been posting but have just got back from a driving holiday to Turin, took the mini to do a job there!!! |

Nope - I want to get my seaplane finished first. Hopefully that will get done this weekend (bar the replacement machine gun which hasn't shown up yet) and then it's onto the Lucy.
