My build will be slightly different...
It might be a cuckoo clock,or a flying bin lorry,or even an anvil
But it will involve a sarcastic, sniggering hound _________________ Nigel.

You know, you could motorise it, using a string or rubber band for the belt drive, which would attach to an electric motor ... easy peasy! _________________ “The farther backward you can look, the farther forward you are likely to see.” Winston Churchill |

For this G.B. I will build this lorry/plane..as a solo.
Eventualy as my own project I wish to build several more and incorporate them into a diorama, including several of the buildings ect.
So over the last year or so I have been buying w.w.1 bi-planes as cannon fodder..But enough of that for now
I will start on the "loryplane" tomorrow. _________________ Nigel.

Ok I have started making the lower body and it even fits nicely onto the chassis. The Avro seats were used to give me an idea of width,I will make a car type seat to fit.
I was watching the dvd while doing this, when it struck me...Here I am 42 yrs old, saturday morning, watching cartoons
Errr I mean watching a programme as research.
I think H3 Brunswick green is good for the body.

In my humble opinion, the collapse of western civilization began at a date which coincides precisely with the departure of Bugs Bunny from television. _________________ “Build what YOU want, the way YOU want to, and above all, have fun.”

The dumpster body is fitted now,the wings have been cleaned up and fitted along with their spars.
I have cut down the tailwings to make the new rudder, the upright bit is again plastic card. These also will have bracing spars.

The tail is now fitted,as are the axles and wheels. The tube on the bonnet is glued in.
Once little details such as the steering wheel, grill and lights have been done,I can hit it with some primer-hopefuly tomorrow.

Thanks Broom,
They told me that a lorry couldn't fly, they were wrong..
They told me that a plane couldn't collect rubbish, they were wrong..
They told me it couldn't catch a pidgeon, there were...
Not one of Clunks best designs I admit.
There is one that I am looking forward to making though,it is a tri or quad plane with ladders running between wing levels.. _________________ Nigel.

Ok, just a couple of things I have noticed, if you want to be faithful to your original picture:
The should have dihedral, and interplane struts, not just inclined bracing for the top plane;
The box behind the prop is too big (as if you hadn't noticed); and
The fin isn't rounded enough top and bottom (though I see your problem, using the 504 tailplane, as the chord appears to be too big).
Also, getting wire spoked wheels will be a bit of a pain. _________________ “The farther backward you can look, the farther forward you are likely to see.” Winston Churchill |
