Sorry Adrian still not started as got to do a lot of clean up and even drilling some major holes just to get started and it has put me of a little
looks like the molds did not sit tight and plastic went all over the place _________________ ACHTUNG-MOSQUITO

well this model is fighting against me, the flash is very very bad, looks like the molds where not sitting correct ( i should of taken the model back) but hay ho. well got the two halfs together now not easy going as nothing wants to fit on this model.

hehehehehe..... When they were drying i had the bubble's fit in place with bluetack bubbles had to be closed unless i was going to chop some of there feet off, but due the the amount of flash and miss alinment of the mold the bubbles will be closed to mask them up a little. _________________ ACHTUNG-MOSQUITO

getting there with this so far up to this stage:
getting the parts together to get sprayed up:
the wing going to be a little bit of a pain but cant have it all me own way.
center wing prt being held down by lots of clamps it was not the greatest fits:

That's what I thought too.....If the kit is really giving you the hump that badly, then set it aside and work on something else. Before long something will come along that will refresh your 'Catalina Mojo' and you will have the makings of a masterpiece already prepared!

Well the lighter fuel and matchs where at hand... but was to cold and wet to set it alight... first problem was the mess the model was in as in flash, but i worked round that... and was going good for a bit, but had a few things all go wrong all at once, i rushed it a bit so my fault a little, tile monster also got one of the parts, bits fell off as i started to get frustrated and the biggest problem was it was time to fix the tail sitting problem, was going to poor glue and some weight in to the nose to sit it back down...had to wait tell all the tail parts where on and the wings where on so i knew how much to add, but it needed more weight than could sit in the nose, so had to go further back... but that in turn requied even more weight, and in the end had to prise the model apart to sit the weight as far forward as possable and also to tie it down so it did not move, plane feels like a paper weight now lol.
any ways fabricated the part i lost, glued the to halfs with the weight fixed, had to fill in the gaps caused by pulling it apart, and will require some TLC from the airbrush to mask that.
this is how it is at mo, but as you guys surjested i might leave it a few before returning to it.
