No Japanese or Australians?
Still, I want the German Paras again. And probably the German Infantry too. Wonder how long for them to get to NZ? |

Thanks for this great picture show,Steven!
If they sell well, there will be the Japaneses and Australians back on the market soon. Fingers crossed.

I would LOVE to see the "Modern British Infantry" back in a decent (and paintable) plastic.
Post WW2 = Korea, Brunei, Mau Mau rebellion (Kenya), Hong Kong, BATUS, Northern Ireland, Cold War, Falklands... |

Can anyone remember the German mountain troops in 1/32 scale or am i losing my marbles. Sure I can remember soldiers with skis !!! |

The History section reveals
German Mountain Troops 51468-0
1/32 scale. Available from 1977 to 1980. Lewarne lists an alternate kit number as 51568-0 but the catalogues do not show this number and there is no evidence that a smaller box was issued.
Why not introduce yourself here |

| James Russell wrote: | The British Infantry will not, as the box art suggests, be fit for NWE. These Tommies carry SMLEs, and Thompson SMGs. Sword bayonet frogs are on the belts of the riflemen. They would need No. 4 rifles, Stens, "socket" bayonets, and one or two "tortoise" helmets to be fit for 44-45.
Still, these are beautifully animated figurines! Superb 2" motarman and grenade throwing poses. The officer looks most impressive.
If your ground-pounders are not fighting in Italy you'll want to swap heads with modern British, and borrow some weapons from the Infantry Support Group or the Commandos. |
Most Tommies still had all the 37 patern kit and SMLE's and the Mk II helmets even after D-Day so its not much of a problem. |

| Although I am very happy they have re-released these figures, I am slightly dissappointed that the qtys have been reduced, and more importantly, in 4 of the boxings I have purchased so far, there are one or more of the poses missing. This will mean I have to purchase a second boxing. |

Same problem here. They did a really bad job in filling the bags.I had to buy three boxes to get all poses of the Commandos!
Perhaps itīs a planned sales policy...

It's going to be even more fun with things like the German paras, where IIRC there are more than 14 base poses to begin with.
So even if you got 14 different in a box, you'd still need more than one box. |
