Nice!
Italeri (ESCI) 1/72 Matilda (7035)
Nice models!

How was the kit to build?
I have one unbuild, and I think it looks rather good on the frames.

All the best from Jesper.

Ayup Idster and Haldane...

Great builds both. I'd like A matilda to do in the 'Duck-egg Blue' camo like in the IWM, where we had a great JBO.... That's where i got the Churchill Bug too.

not a bad kit, although the link and length tracks were a bit of a shock, never done them before.
Italeri (ESCI) 1/72 Matilda (7035)
Nice builds guys.....Can't believe I missed this one.

What's all this about 'L&L' tracks on an Italeri 1/72 Matilda.....This is a first on me!

Mine only have band style tracks.

All the best

great looking matilda
Italeri (ESCI) 1/72 Matilda (7035)
Ivan.....I don't suppose you could scan the Italeri instructions for me could you?  I didn't know that the Esci/Italeri Matilda ever came with L&L.  Italeri certainly didn't include it the first batch of Matildas that they released.

TIA & All the best

hi sarge     i have made abit of a boo boo.  just checked matilda again, they are indeed band tracks although they seemed quite solid.i.think i must have confused the build with that of an italeri valentine tank which i built at the same time, now that one has l&l tracks.im sorry to have caused confusion..must be my age, and mind playing tricks.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   all the best.     ivan(haldane)

I'm pretty sure this revamp is an old Esci from my teens.  The plastic had become incredibly brittle with age and some parts literally fell to bits after the original paint was removed.  So after fixing everything I could (and doing a fair bit of tweaking) I put plenty of paint back on in the hopes of giving the poor old thing another 30 years of life.  Heh heh.

Looking good, B4en.

Italeri (ESCI) 1/72 Matilda (7035)
Thanks Jesper.  I have a couple of old Airfix ones awaiting reconditioning too.  One will likely end up a flail tank.

Here is a more recent build of the Esci/Italeri kit.  Weathered to death of course!  No tweaking on this one, but a bit of added stowage.
