Almost done

Quick update,  sorry for no pics to date but only have a camera on my phone at the minute and it is a terrible picture:

Wildcat and Hughes both COMPLETE :-)
Seafire has green camo on it, doing the broon tonight I think
Lifeboat continues on at a leisurely pace
Huey has got no further (cockpit and cabin done only)
as for the poor swordfish.... it is now sat in a drawer feeling desperately unloved :-(

BTW, thank you to everyone who gave me painting tips, working a treat and all over this airbrushing lark I think!

lovin all the models coming along too, nice to see.

Rommel's Grief is progressing too

Ayup All...

Finished some detail work on two models I'm working on for next Weekend...

Primer will be flying tomorrow and some DSG on another for someone else, also for next weekend... so I'm looking forward to tomorrow. An early start is on the cards...

But add to that that at the moment I'm caned due to half a bottle of Black Vodka. No edged weapons for me then...

No pictures at the moment, however after about a 3 week break I now have the following on the go:

Airfix Harrier 1/24th Scale - in for decalling, stiil needs undercarrige assembling and final small details
1/35th Rommel's Halftrack -  Ready for main body assembly
Coles Crane from Recovery Set - Chassis assembled with main body being glazed.
M3 Half Track - In paint with some weathering applied plus stowage being painted.
German Armoured Car (234) - Initial assembly (done this aft) just short of 2 axles at the moment.
Scorpion Tank - Main hull assembled, but have now snapped one of the tracks trying to stretch them to fit over the bogies.

My 2CV has a short exhaust system fitted LOL

I made a harness for the seat with Tamiya tape coloured with a sharpie and a lick of silver paint.

The wing has been repositioned and a couple of alloy struts added.

The shell has been sprayed Ford neptune green and cleat coated.

I'd buy one!

The latest Vickers MkVI is almost complete - I estimate I've added at least 200 rivets along with many remodelled parts.  Still a few bits to go but I might be able to finally get painting by the end of the week.

If I don't have a breakdown first.

Hey all

The longest serving model on my bench is now soon to go.  After two sets of bad decals Airfix came up with the goods and a new set arrived today which have gone on my Beaufighter TF.X.  The quality of the new set was excellent and I had no problems applying them (unlike the previous sets ).  A big thank you to Airfix customer service who were a pleasure to deal with.  Just letting the Klear dry now then its on with some weathering.

got some paint on the Bronco tonight, trying a rattle can for the white as opposed to my airbrush.

Revell Hurricane IIb 'Hurribomber', to be finished as Peter Teichman's BE505 which I enjoyed seeing at several airshows this year in its first display season. Let's hope they allow Peter to display it with mock bombs on the racks next year.

A real 'bitsa' this one... It will be a Spitfire FR MkXVIIIe, and the components are an Aeroclub Mk XVIII Spitfire vacform conversion set (fuselage and some metal parts like prop), Airfix Spitfire MkVb/Vc (wings/cannon bulges respectively), scratchbuilt parts (cockpit interior) and self-cast resin components (tail planes, undercarriage legs, carburettor scoop)

Currently, as with the Hurricane above, at the fill/sand/prime/repeat as necessary stage.

My daughter and I produced this little farm collection from the Shaun the Sheep Landrover set. Nice to put together. Admittedly I did more of the work than she did and probably am a bigger Shaun the Sheep fan.

A Dutch aircraft carrier? That’s something we don’t see that often.
Bring it on, Dar.

The Vickers MkVIb is finally finished!  First time I've used pastel dusting and I'm well pleaded with the result - pics when I can scrounge a camera again.

After finding some good colour photos of a desert Saladin I've decided on a quick build of the Airfix version for some light relief.

My first true "multi-media" kit.

I bought it because it was a bargain! ROTFL

I'm having some difficulty warming up to it.  But, slowly, I'm installing the PE and resin and eventually, the vac-form canopy and it should turn out all right.  I hope.

I will be building a Kittyhawk as part of the CBI/SEAC Group Build to give me a break from it.
