Almost back to normal again
Hi all, thanks for all the good wishes   during what has been a very trying time over the last few weeks. I'm now able to use both hands again, but the repaired one is still weak, so no master pieces from me for a while ( or a good excuse to turn out some (more) rough models )..   , but at least I can type a little easier.

Hi Loll
good to see you back

hope things continue to improve
Take care and best wishes
Almost back to normal again
Thanks folks.
I forgot to mention, they suggested that I take up knitting   or model making        to get my fingers stronger and more supple ......        but don't try doing too much too soon !        so I have been doing my exercises by trying to lift a pint glass, I'll feel better when there is a drink in it though

Ayup Loll...

Then you're ahead of the game mate !

I suggest you start with a small Whisky Tumbler ! or a finger shot glass ! think Single Malt...

Great to see you going strong again, Loll.
And with humour too; the best medicine there will ever be.

With kind regards from Jesper.

It has been 'sorely' tested I can tell you but it never quite failed completely. Helped on by all the good wishes from here and elsewhere.

Thanks for the greetings folks      shucks !!!

Welcome back, Loll. Good to see you on the boards again.

Sean
Almost back to normal again
Thanks Sean.

A little progress to report, I can now lift a 1/2 full pint glass ....... and deposit it into the lap of one of my companions !!!!!!      Ambition over ability I think it's called.
No doubt you are all aware of the disabled kid winning the icecream... well that's how I felt.

Painting left handed is easier now because I can use my right hand like a piece of ballast to hold it still, blue tack is useful too, but it is difficult to kneed it one handed. Enough grumping .. every day in every way .... etc.

I am supposed to manage to spread a slice of bread with butter next week ......... this is really much harder than the first time, around.
Almost back to normal again
Time for an update.

I can now paint (badly... no change there then !) with my right hand, but I can't hold things still, carefully trying to paint and twitch another smudge grrr !!!  but it is getting easier.
I can now lift a half pint without drowning anyone in the process.  Typing is getting better I now only have to use the spell checker every word not every letter ..
No models with anything called progress yet, but plenty of "I've got to build one of those"  .....

I can take photo's again too, provided I use the tripod to eliminate blurr.  I have some very nice out of focus sky pics of where an aircraft was     with the right type of lens I could specialise in pics of wake turbulance
