Anyone know of a Reliant Robin kit on the market?
My missus wants one (Don't ask)

Something to do with Del Boy!

Thanks in advance. I've searched but can find nothing!

Looks like there are plenty of 1/43 die cast models available by Lledo and Corgi. Here's a Reliant web site with the Lledo model for sale for £8.99.

Why do people keep calling the Reliant Regal Supervan (Del-Boy) a Robin? Anyhoo, I have seen pewter miniatures of the Robin on Ebay.

By the way, I've got a 1:1 scale Reliant Rialto.

Michael's of Selby I believe still is the Bond specialist albiet all secondhand these days

Del boy's van as stated definately not a Robin

Cause I had a Robin and drove my then young family about on a M/C license in the seventies!

Don't worry about it. Every man and his dog across the Planet called all models of three wheeled Reliants "Robins". Even Reliant themselves got fed up with it and re-introduced the Robin in the 90's.

Sean, I wouldn't be surprised if someone imported the cars to Australia, but I've never seen one here myself.

I never had a Robin but I did have a Reliant Regal saloon which I could (and often had to) almost rebuild at the side of the road.
Anyway how much did the Robin have in common with the Bond Bug? I'd put money on the chassis and engine being more or less identical which means that a Robin model could be based on the Airfix Bond kit - If one could be found/afforded and you were prepared/skilled enough to make a new body.

As i remember it was the same engine but i think the rear suspension was quite different. The rear wheels on a bond are right at the back where as the robin was on leaf springs with the rear wheels were more towards the middle of the car.

I knew i wasn't going mad the front looks the same but the rear is a lot shorter with what looks like motorcycle suspension.
