I was planning to build, or at least make a start on my 1/24 Harrier kit for the Falklands GB.

I think if a 1/24 Superkit build was to go ahead, a September build start date would be best. This would give you a good three months until Christmas when more kit based goodies might distract people, and the weather is mostly suited for indoors.

Ah, yes..... and it will be getting into Spring here though but the rains tend to come then.

All the best with the Harrier - builds into a nice big kit, but the FRS1 needed a bit of hacking on the nose section. Still I don't recall this one actually took too long to build. Needed quite a bit of putty though!

Having built my only 1:24 Luftwaffe subject could this be extended to any BoB aircraft in 1:24
However, I am trying to lay my hands on a 1:24 Stuka at a bargain price

Seeing September is fast approaching it could be an idea to raise awareness of this.  This build could incorporate any 1/24 with the soon-to-be released 1/24 Mossie as well. I'd be keen.

Not a bad idea to re-run the poll, it has been a year, Adrian should be back in a few days. I actually have some 1/24 kits in the stash now and with the Mossie due out.....

Oh yes
I had extracted my 1/24 Hurri from the stash for BM's BoBGB, but when it turned into a competition I withdrew    So I'd be up for any 1/24 GB    I have a few to pick from now

I might get the Mosquito but the price is scary. I would have to save up now!

I bet it will the best kit ever!

I think that remains to be seen  -I'm not expecting Trumpeter quality but previous experience of the 1/24 series shows it's good but not perfect in way of fit.  They are accurate though.

...and a suitable timeline needs to be looked at for completion - nothing worse than a fun build turning into a chore.  Especially if the Mossie coming out has 800+ parts.....

That said, I have 'reserves' - other 1/24 Airfix kits - but I'm sure I'm likely to go for a different variant/scheme rather than the usual box stuff.

A little confused by this - talk of resurrection of the 1/24 Luftwaffe build idea, but then everyone's talking about Mosquitos

I have no problem with the poll being rerun, however I don't think that two months would be sufficient for most people to satisfactorily complete such a large kit.

Given the time issues, and that I shouldn't think many people would participate, rather than a group build, why not just have a shared build thread similar to the "Ugly aircraft" one?  Alternatively, people could run a number of concurrent demo builds?

I would like to see a 1:24th scale group build of any subject (aircraft) but maybe for an extended period like one year (in which case I might even be able to finish one) maybe starting with the ATF 3rd anniversary and concluding on the 4th.

(I also happen to have a Spitfire VB in the stash)

I have just created a new Poll for a 1/24 Group Build with Multiple Options here.

I will now lock this thread and please continue discussion in the new thread.
