Anyway I hope to improve my modelling skills by looking at this forum and possibly asking the older guys/girls for help...

Thats good along with all the advice we can get from the more experienced modellers!
Anyway can people tell me what model i should get first please??
I am wanting to model in 1:72 scale and I am interested mainly in WW2.
I like planes, tanks, boats and figures and later on hope to create diorams.
So any advice on what to get first would be greatly appreiciated!
Thanks,
Tom |

Thanks | That is like the proverbial 'how long is a piece of string' question. IMHO a plane would be a decent start point. Try a couple of single engined ones first, not overly complicated just to get the hang of it. (I know I shouldn't recomend them here ) but Revell do some well cheap single engined stuff (£3.50 I paid recently for a Hurricane in MZ)and it won't be a major upset if they go wrong and widely available in places such as Modelzone. Once you grow in confidence with your ability move on up to more complex kits.
As for putting things in the wrong place, I'm always doing it _________________ Guaranteed to make a good kit look bad. |

Halotape, I would recommend getting the Airfix 1/72 Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Ia as your first kit. A great looking and very famous fighter of WWII. _________________ If you would like Airfix to release a 1/600 kit of HMS Dreadnought,
