PostPosted: Sat 22 Jul 2006 17:07 pm    Post subject: Correct way to quote in posts Reply with quote

There have been instances of quotes not appearing correctly when members have been making posts. This is caused by BBCode being disabled in the post.

When you quote somebody else's post in your post, make sure that the "Disable BBCode in this post" box is unticked. If you don't, the quote does not appear correctly. If you are using the "Quick Reply" box and click on "Quote last message", you will need to click on "preview" in order to see the "Disable BBCode in this post" box.

In order to avoid having to do this each time, just go to your profile (link at top of page) and in your Preferences, set "Always allow BBCode:" to "Yes". You will then be able to quote correctly without having to worry about what I have written above.
