My name is Jesper Larsen
I’m Danish and born in 1963.

I have build models since I was too young to do it myself.
I think making models is one of the best hobbies ever!
My interest is wide and I have nearly all genres represented in my collection.

Relaxing while building is one important aspect for me.
So it doesn’t really matter if a model takes 4 weeks or 7 years,
as long the road was nice or challenging and the result rewarding in it’s own right.

Most of my models are built out of the box with a few exceptions.
I don't have the patients to use resin or photo etch parts unless the kit is born with them.
I don't use alternative decals unless I have to.

I paint with brush and try to make the finish better than the models before.
But always ending up with calling it finished with some details missing or neglected.
I don’t know why, but I think a model should always have something needing to be finished or improved.

Jesper.

Thanks to all of you!

I have more interesting car models in the pipeline and with my speed I think they will be finished in a year or two or tree.

The longest in the work pile (2½ year) is a Gunze Sangyo Lamborghini Silhouette
witch has giving me many problems with colour seeping through from the red plastic to my intended white finish.
I also ruined the windshield so I have to make a new one.
But once finished I think it will be a real stunner.

If the sun (and light) is OK tomorrow I will “shoot” some of my other models.
With thanks from Jesper.

Brillant - love the rusty Fiat too.  And the Trabant - you can still hear one just by looking at it!

More pictures added today 24 aug.

If I ever find out what went wrong with the white-balance I will replace them with new ones.
All the new pictures look kind of blue.

More models added 28 Aug.

I have tried to merge the new pictures with the old to keep some order.

With kind regards Jesper.

31 Aug.   Last pictures in a while added.

Now I going to build some new ones first or finish the rest already on my shelves.
You know: Details, broken parts, final touch-up…  :fear:

All the best from Jesper.

I like your Luftwaffe stuff and your approach to "mottling."  I'm a little weirded-out by the rat skull.

Hello Dancho and thanks!

Don't be alarmed by the skull.
It was found as is in the shrub surrounding my mother-in-law’s house.
I have not done anything to obtain it except finding it.
I see it as a prop just like a twig or other natural material.

Several of my Luftwaffe airplanes are mottled with a cotton swab with a technique similar to dry brushing.
Others are just done by brush painting.
When you don’t use airbrush you have to think in other ways to do the work.

I’m glad you like it.

All the best from Jesper.

Ayup Jesper...

Really nice stuff. I love the Buckeye best. I must start to look for one to go with my Skyknight...

It's amazing what Dayglo paint does for a model... And i must get a Cougar too... and a panther and.. and...

*goes and lies down*...
