Check out the following link to a nice site about Lusitania, found by accident, interesting to note that her funnels had been painted all black to try and disguise her, not heard that before.

Elsewhere though, I've read that the Lusitania's funnels may very well have been repainted in Cunard red before the final voyage - in this excellent document:
