Dave,
The previous posts in this thread have said it far more eloquently than I could, all I can say is best wishes for your future plans, and a big thank you for creating this wonderful forum.
Congratulations Ratch, I'm sure you are the best person to take on the job of running the ATF now that Dave has stepped down.
Best wishes to you both,
John. _________________ "It's life Jim, but not as we know it!" - Dr McCoy |

I, as well as the rest of the Admin and Mod team and the forum members, owe a debt of gratitude to Dave for setting up the ATF, maintaining it and devoting a great deal of his time and resources to it.
I'm sure the Admin and Mod team will continue their behind the scenes work to maintain the smooth running of the forum, and look forward to working with Ratch in his new role as Patrician .
Does this mean we'll be seeing more of the naughty nurse
Best

On behalf of Dave, as well as me, can I say thanks for all the messages of support
All the Admin/Mod team have said it already, there'll be no change to the site, we're all like minds and things will go on as they have done since Dave launched this site

I've just fallen in, often wondered the origin of that little, er, figurine. Any chance you could PM me the details mate? There's a place in Sarfend that has stocks of Phoenix Phollies if you were interested.

Is it just me or is this a bit like Dr Who regenerating?
Just me then.
Many thanks Dave for all the effort and time it must have taken.
Good luck Ratch, we're in safe hands I'm sure. |

Well, a note to both of you, then!
First off, Dave, many thanks for your support to newbies and for establishing a website that has a friendly and fun atmosphere. It's a gem and a treasure trove. It's place where you feel as if you're amongst friends. It's a place to seek inspiration. So good on you and enjoy your new freedom. We all just hope that you'll still drop in from time to time. So a big Thank you.
Ratch, good luck in controlling the rabble and we all know you'll do a sterling job picking up where Dave left off. It's a new phase under new management and we're all looking forward to it. It's a huge undertaking on your part and, for sure, you can depend on all of our support as you get underway.
Cheers and all the best to the both of you,

I'd like to add my thanks to Dave. I was a relative newcomer to the Airfix forum when it was closed down, but I was welcomed here like an old friend from the day I joined. I've had some good times both on- and off-line in the last couple of years, thanks to Dave and lots of other Jolly Boys!
Long may the forum's success continue under it's new owner! _________________ Cheers,

Dave,
Thank you for your calm support in those dark days after airfix collapsed. I was very depressed and this group helped me out. I often think of this group's social support system and I am thankful for support that exists in this forum as opposed to other " mainstream forums ". Thanks for everything.
Ratch...
I hope that you understand the feelings that I have about airfix and its well being.
I hope that you maintain the support system that I depend on for information on airfix and other UK based hobby companies.
Thanks

I would just to thank you all for your kind comments regarding my ATF "retirement", both in threads on the forum and via PM and email. Unfortunately, I haven't time to respond to everybody who has written privately so hopefully a thank you here will suffice!
