I have to ask this question.  Why does the HU29 color sometimes (always?) look a bit on the gray side?  It looks very pale and red-- almost pink in the top photo.  Is  this a photography issue or what?

I've wondered this too.....Are you using just a single lamp to illuminate your models when you photograph them?

It is generally best to use three lamps, one positioned to each side of and one above the subject model.

If you can create a monocoloured background it can help loads too.....Simply pile up some books or kit boxes and drape a plain sheet over them.

I'm also confused as to why a bomber would have camera ports

Ratch, I think this was a quirk of the production line/commonality of components between bomber and PR versions. Also I think it was the case that some Mossie bomber units did their own PR work.

To answer your question Ratch, peebeep is quite right. If you look at all MkIV Mossies the camera ports were retained, although in some cases they were blanked off.

The first eight B.IV srs I's (although not the subject of my model) were actually conversions of PR.I airframes.

Probably a photography problem.

I haven't uploaded the shots to my completed model yet from the camera. I'll have a fiddle about and see if I can sort it!

Very nice build indeed!

Your colours do look a little warmer in this picture.....Did you change your lighting setup?  Think

Yep. I actually found a 'daylight' bulb and put it in an angle poise lamp and added that to the setup.
