Hows about a secret Santa Group Build?
Everyone who subscribes throws their name into the hat without knowing what they're going to build, & then all the names are put into a hat & everyone gets a 'buddy'
you ask your 'buddy' to name a field, 'ie tanks, aircraft, or figures (only because I know someone who normally builds ships won't be keen on building the control tower!) but those of you who are really adventurous could specify nothing at all.
You then  buy a surprise kit, wrap it up in christmassy paper & the group build could start on xmas day. You build whatever you get sent!

Could be fun, not only would it allow people to clear something from the stash, (IMO only proviso should be that the kit you send is unstarted & complete) but could also be a way of doing a build a little outside your usual field- you never know- it could be exciting!

what do we think- with an xmas deadline if this one's a goer we should probably get moving on this one sharpish.

Because I can see people wanting one of my seven TSR 2's.  Or one or two of the rarer expensive bits I've got!

No I dont mean that

I mean that people have to post there stash in a thread. Then the person who has to be the santa picks a kit from there stash and then they have to build the kit.

Well I understand it      Sofa  Dummy

What about a “Santa’s secret vehicle” build then?
It could be a fire red F-117 (Remember he’s stealthy), or an old bomber packed with Christmas parcels?

The possibilities are endless, and it could be fun too!

All the best from jesper.

I think the kit exchange idea may be a non-starter.....Sorry, but it's probably for the best!

In answer to your post Rob, you'd be putting up your stash list so you could be selective and don't put up stuff you'd want to keep hold of.

I think jespers idea has merit though!

I think what Heggy was trying to say is that people show what they have in their stash, and then their nominated 'Santa' specifies what kit the owner of the stash should build.  So you aren't giving away any kits at all - it's just someone else is specifying what you should build from your own stash.

Well I've only got one kit in my stash so I'd only have one option to be given.

My only quistion is does it have to be done in christmassy colours or those given in the kit.

Woo! And that means a kit that someone chooses might be a kit that they would never think of building before.

I think using a few ideas from above... you put your stash list up and the rest of the GB picks the model to be built and that model then built and painted in a xmas collor theam!  what you think?
