It seems that there are quite a few members who have the Airfix E-Boat in their stash. As a result, I thought it would be nice to have a Group Build of this particular kit. So, being completely dictatorial ( ) I am announcing that one will take place from 15th October and run for two months. I will be the Group Build Leader. This Group Build now has it's own forum here where Chat and Reference threads have already been set up.
If you wish to take part in the Group Build, you must sign on using the Usergroups link at the top of the screen (above the Log in/Log out link).
If you are not sure how Group Builds work, you can read the rules here.
Important: Do NOT sign up as a participant of a Group Build if you only want to view the threads!
To take part in the Group Build:
Click on "Usergroups"
In the "Join a Group" section, select "Group Build - E-Boat"
Click "View Information"
Click on "Join Group".
When your membership of the Usergroup is confirmed, you will be given your own thread in the Airfix 1/72 E-Boat Group Build Forum to post details of your build.

I've never done a group build before, I've only tried to build two boats before, and I've never finished one, so you'll have to be gentle with me, but I'm in!

Well, I've never led a Group Build before so it's unknown territory for us both! I wouldn't worry too much about building the E-Boat. As it is large scale, it is more akin to a bomber or tank although I would not recommend you try it out as either.
BTW, Antics have just informed me that my E-Boat was despatched today. £13.50 including p&p. Not bad at all.

My E-Boat arrived this morning. Now I can start on some research before the build gets underway in two months time!
