Gents, we're rambling off-topic here - can you drag it back to discussions about the kit itself please?  Ta!

Here's my Airfix 1/76 SAM-2 that I built around 1978 while still in high school. This was one of the first models I painted, but I had not reached the stage of using filler, so you can see the prominent seem line on the missile. A fin has broken off, and one the rear wheel hubs is missing. This is a really great kit. My Bristol Bloodhound from the same year is in the background. I ordered both these models direct from England from the mail order company B.M.W. Models, sadly now out of business.

Not bad for the age though, I particularly like the 'weathering' of dust on the Bloodhound kit...... looks all too familiar of models we all photograph and don't notice  until afterwards.

Thanks for posting that Steven. I think it's the first time I've seen one made up, it looks pretty good!

Cheers!

I bought 4 of them for about $80.00 and then promptly sold them on eBay, and didn't keep a single one.  A recent purchase for my collection was $50 and was not in good condition.  sigh.
