I have received a Private Message tonight from somebody who is a member of both this and Greg's forum accusing me of encouraging members of this forum to spam on Greger's forum. I refute the allegation most strongly as I have never and will never encourage anybody to spam either on this forum or anywhere else. I would certainly never ask anyone to spam on my behalf or for their own ends either. If someone has being actively spamming on Greg's site, then they are doing so without my knowledge. They are also misguided if they think that they are doing me a favour and that I would approve. I most certainly disapprove and do not encourage it!

I spoke to Greg for an hour by phone tonight when we discussed this allegation at length. It has come as a complete surprise to him too and he says that he has not seen any so-called spamming at all. Of course, what one person regards as spamming, somebody else may not regard it as such. I don't yet know what the spamming was as no evidence accompanied the allegation and no names have been mentioned. I have asked for evidence to be provided and once it has, then I will discuss it with the perpetrators and Greg too, who is also investigating the allegation. Greg and I both take the accusation extremely seriously and if someone has been spamming, then they could face possible suspension not just from this forum but from Greg's forum too.

Finally, I would remind members of the rules of this forum which amongst other things forbids spamming. When those rules were written, they applied to this forum. However, they apply equally to Greg's forum. I also draw members' attention to the announcements I made about avoiding any conflict with Greg's forum.

Further to the announcement made above, I have received a further PM from the person who made the original allegation about spamming and my supposed encouragement of it. They have admitted to making a mistake, caused by the misreading of a post of mine and has apologised profusely to me. I have accepted the apology without hesitation as the person has shown the utmost humility and has acted with their normal integrity. In fact it is because of who it was that made the original allegation that I was extremely concerned and took it so seriously.

My thanks to all those who sent messages of support and most of all for the person concerned to have admitted their error and apologised. The matter is now closed.

Back to modelling....

Dave
