Well two Devastator kits have been extricated from the stash, that is about as far as it goes.

As mentioned elsewhere I haven't had much modelling time of late, hope to get onto them soon though.

Have been impressed by those using the White Ensign etched sets so may purchase a couple of those.

Cheers

Stu

Definitely worth getting one or other of the White Ensign PE sets, they really add something. Only thing is, you'll probably need a vacform canopy to do them justice!

Good luck with getting started on the kits. I'm still only in the early stages of mine, and there's plenty of time.

I have ordered the White Ensign sets, hopefully I will not make a hash of them  Any recommendations as to vac form canopies? Would not mind trying one out in this scale, have used them in 1/48 before without problem although the Devastator has a pretty involved set of hoods .

Cheers

Hi Stu,
I used the Falcon set No 1 which has several USN WW2 canopies, but its expensive if you only want a Devastator canopy.
I could not find anybody else selling them induvidually.
This was the first time I had used one no real problems, I used painted decals for the framing stuck down with Klear.

Thanks Mark

I may give that a try, I have plenty of US Navy aircraft kits so the additional canopies will be put to good use.

Cheers
