Very nice.
I'm just curios as to why you put 85 Squadron's hexagonal marking on the starboard side under the canopy, as far as i know only 85 Squadron aircraft had them on it. |

thanks guys, yeh i know the markings are incorrect but i just got carried away with them i think if you look carefully you will find a few that are wrong i must admit as time went on with this build i got less worried about inaccuracies.
also can anyone tell me what the W/L marking means that you can see on the side of it, thanks. _________________ Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few. |

The W/T markings on WW2 aircraft IIRC actually refer to the positioning what are these days are called 'bonding strips'
These are pieces of metal which act as a contact between the flying control surfaces and mainplanes for lightning/static to flow through.
Without these it would pass through the hinge points of the surfaces and cause serious damage. _________________ Bubbly! |
