Nice build, but I'd agree you may have gone a bit mad with the rust around the hatches.....Perhaps a darker wash over the top might make things look a little more convincing?  :?:

Just a thought, all the best

Will have to second Sgt's view,  :thumb:
if the rust was that bad me thinks it would be taken out of service
nice build though ....

The actual shading is rather well done, it's the choice of colour which is the problem IMHO.....I've made it a rule not to use strong red-brown washes on anything green, except Soviet armour, which seems to have often arrived at the front pre-rusted. (A bit like Italian cars!)  :?:

All the best
Sgt.S

Nice build. The rust may be over emphasised by the flash on your camera. Try taking a picture in natural light and it may eliminate much of the red. Just a thought.

All that to one side you have done a really neat job overall, which has inspired me to dig out my old JB version.

thanks guys constuctive criticism always appreciated, although in fairness Bob(K) was right, the flash has made it look a lot worse, even so ive given it a wash and that helped disperse the rust a bit. will give it a coat of Matt Cote tomorrow and take a couple of pics when dry.

I admit, I'm not that keen on using flash when taking photo's. To my mind, it distorts the colours. I prefer to wait for natural daylight.

I hope my comments on your JB Saracen AC didn't seem harsh.....You have done such a beautiful job of the build and underlying paintscheme & markings, that I think sorting the rust is justified, just to do it justice.

All the best

That looks a lot better. Mind you, I'll bet the Sgt-Major would still have a fit if he saw that much rust. Hell, it's only a model!
