The RNAS/FAA GB finishes in about a month, so time to poll for the next military aircraft GB.  As promised, this will be a run off for the four subjects that reached the qualifying level in the last poll, but didn't win.

I've set this up as a multiple selection poll, so you can vote for as many of the subjects as you want.  This should allow people's second preferences to be taken into account.  All of the subjects are generic ones, allowing any aircraft of any scale to be built, provided it fits the theme.

As we don't have much time, this poll will run for 7 days from 6th March.  As ever, once the poll is complete, I'll be looking for a 'volunteer' to act as GB leader.

Tricky one. The 'nightstalkers' and 'Commonwealth aircraft' builds should allow for lots of lesser known colour schemes on well known aircraft, while Pacific theatre offers loads of potential builds in a big range of operators (not just US and Japanese, but British Pacific and East Indies markings, Dutch, Australian, New Zealand etc etc), while Spanish Civil War would suggest lots of conversion potential. And there's undoubtedly crossover there as well - the Do17 could be built as a Legion Kondor aircraft or converted into a Do215 nightfighter. Alternatively a NZ Douglas SBD would fit for both Commonwealth and Pacific.

I'm erring towards Nightstalkers but that might change by lunchtime.

What none of 'em?

Surely there must be at least one nocturnal predator you are just itching to build?

All the best

PS - There is an SCW GB starting over on Britmodeler next month IIRC.....I shall mostly be building T-26s!

What's the thinking behind 'night stalkers' by the way - night intruders and night fighters? Just the former?

Anything that hunts by night, so basically night-fighters, night-intruders nuisance-raiders etc. but not heavy bombers.  So you have a pretty free reign.....I think WWII was the period in mind for this GB, as with modern aircraft the distinction becomes a bit irrelevant.

So, nightstalkers it is then!

No hint of anyone volunteering to be GB leader.  There were 15 people happy to build them  - surely one of you wouldn't mind conducting another poll and setting up a few build threads?

Consider yourself co-opted George!  Thanks for 'volunteering'!

Instructions for what to do on the way.
