Just having a look for paints,
Are 224 and 123 accurate colours?
If they're bang on I'll get them but if I don't have to buy new paint I won't.

Thanks

Sorry should have mentioned that.
123 and 224 are the main colours for all three of the kits in the Airfix club kit. I'm guessing this was just the main scheme for all FAA aircraft?

Will start construction of the Wildcat today

I'm building the Wildcat from the Airfix Club kit,

Sprue shot

Had a bit of trouble here as I'd cut the slot for the stand and decided to build it wheels up but then realised there was no wheels up option. A bit of plasticard in the undercart sorted this tho.

More photos later, losing my patiance with uploading photo speeds

Cheers

This is my progress at the end of the GB.

Clear decal paper is on its way from Acorn models to do the canopy.
Apart from that and a coat of Matt Cote its pretty well finished.

Considering I started two days ago ( ) I'm pretty pleased with my progress

Cheers,
Pim

I think you can get a great result from these small, single engine WWII fighters in a very short time, and you've demonstrated that perfectly Pim, well done

An excellent result. I do like the Widcat, a great little kit.
