Here is a photo of the finished model together with the Swordfish and the Wildcat on the AIRFIX CLUB box..
.
Now for the Seafire
I enjoyed making this Seafire. I was glad that I used the original kit wings and NOT the new engraved ones. The model went together quite well but the arrestor hook assembly required a bit of work to make it fit snugly. The model is made using the kit parts including the new undernose oil cooler. Fit was pretty good. The model is brush painted with Hu224, Hu123 and Hu90, several coats of Klear (Future) and then one good coating of Mattcote to finish. The decals were perfect and went on well. One small detail (not really visible in the photos) was the addition of a rear view mirror on the windscreen upper frame. I made this from a small rectangle of wine bottle foil cyano-ed on. The canopy frames were from thin strips of pre-painted decal film. I tried to use two strips to show a line between the hood and the windscreen
Hope you like the pictures.
Best

Hi Brews
No, my "youngsters" (age 58 and 51 respectively) have long since left the family home and have families of their own. 5 grandchildren and one greatgrandchild at the last count! No active modellers amongst them but there is continuing aeronautical interest, my son is in the RAF (28 years) and one of my granddaughters is an Air Traffic Controller.
Best
