For some reason that instantly makes me think 'Malta'.....No good reason why, it just does!  

Very nice build and an extremely novel use of Airfix's old emplacement!

Might I ask what you used for the barbed wire, Ratch? It looks a little more complex than the average round-the-pencil jobbie

The mesh fences were bought complete from a stall at Duxford    they had lots of good diorama stuff
