Next a bit of plasticard to give the wheels a little more body:


Scrounging through the spares I came up with replacement exhausts. Aeroclub do some nice ones in white metal though.


A bit of painting done.
If you look at the MkI you can see that the cockpit and cupola have been built up a little. This is to allow the spare Matchbox transparencies I have to be used on it.

No George, they're from a Cutting Edge sheet. I think it's 'Bristol Beaufighters Part 1'.

I do have the Esci sheet if someone wants to have the 'Bambi' markings from it though!

I did my York fuselage out of it y'know, and that was a long time ago.

The Stirling 'Memorial Build' gave me a new appreciation of its modelling uses.

And it was a lot cheaper than a hulking great bit of resin which is the only other way to model that mark.
