I'm still waiting on decals and some parts so I'll shelve the Sandringham for this build.
So plan 'B' I'll be building a Junkers Ju-52 with the float option.
The kit has those lovely old word type instructions which helped learn so much about aircraft
The parts are fairly crisp with some ejector pin marks but nothing to major.
I will be finishing the kit as an Aircraft from IV Gruppe KGzbV.1 Balkans 1942 with a ESCI decal set

Started off with a coating of RLM66 on the interior and then began assembling the cockpit
The instrument panel is the old cut out from the instruction sheet and glue on.
Cockpit assembled sans pilots. The rear of the bulkhead will need some putty.

Yes some progress - finally
Fuselage is complete and now has a coat of RLM 65 on the undersides
Assembly of the floats complete.
And the upper sides have received their first coat of RLM72, I'm using Modelmaster paints on the upper surfaces. Also have completed prepaint the yellow on the cowlings. |
