Final part of the trilogy of the 2009 club kits. I'll be doing the Swordfish as LS326 of 836NAS from MAC Rapane 1943.

Sprues etc.

First thing to go will probably be these marks on the exterior of the fuselage, which I presume are mean to represent the footholds for climbing into the cockpit. A bit odd that they are proud of the surface rather than recessed? I thought they would have sprung covering plates making them flush with the surface?

Better late than never!

Cockpit put together. I cut out some plastic card to blank off the seams in the rear section.

Put the fuselage together and attached the lower wings, tail planes and fin/rudder.

Then applied plenty of milliput to even things out.

Slow progress at the moment.

Ayup Rich...

I like the way you filled the rear interior. when i look at my Migs progress now, I'm glad i did what i did even if the seat's a little cock-eyed... but there was now way to fix the floor in but how i did.. and it's close in dimensions to the Pavla resin set i now have. (I devilled the new Canopy up, but i think i can save it somehow)  but you can't tell too much...) ...

A bit more progress, more filling done on all the little nooks and crannies ready for some more sanding.

I haven't forgotten about this, just been really busy working 2 jobs so not much time for modelling. Still I've finally managed to get it finished. I added a few extras here and there and the Vickers K is an Aeroclub replacement.

Fairey Swordfish Mk.II LS326 "L" of 836 NAS, FAA aboard MAC Rapane, late 1943.

What a fine trio.....You have done a great job with all of them.  :thumb:

All the best
Sgt.S
PS - I love the expression on the Swordfish gunner's face.....He's like "Oh wow!  They gave me a machine gun!"  :D

Thanks for all the comments. The rigging is Aeroclub lycra thread highlighted with black permanent marker, the cross beams on the wings are brown plastic rod (colour seemed close enough to wood not to bother painting).

Excellent work Rich

They would make a very nice display for the Telford tables.
