It looks like you might have some silvering of the wing decals. If so, you could try poking some holes in the decal, and flooding it with Klear. _________________ “The farther backward you can look, the farther forward you are likely to see.” Winston Churchill |

Its the trouble with using Humbrol acrylics. I forget to varnish the model before hand. Underneath there's no silvering at all because the RLM76 xtracrylic dries to a gloss finish.
I'm slowly using up the humbrol stock and replacing them with xtracrylic paints. |

Perforating the decal with a pin, and use micro sol or Klear, will give you a chance of reducing the silvering. Alternatively, you could try another decal. If I think that silvering might be an issue, one trick I've used is to coat the underside of the decal in Klear _________________ “The farther backward you can look, the farther forward you are likely to see.” Winston Churchill |

I've taken to floating my decals on Klear if there is the slightest chance of silvering or poor adhesion.....They stick down like limpets and conform to surface detail surprisingly well.
For what it's worth, all the best

Silvering or no (perhaps it's just the surface finish of the decal? My inexpert eyes can't tell) that looks like a very impressive piece.

Tamiya X-19 Smoke for the exhaust stains.

There's promoddler black wash somewhere on the aircraft if you can spot it.
Tried to paint a white spiral on the prop hub but chickened out.

It sure does look good. The A8/R1s didn't carry the cannon in the outboard of the wing, though. I guess they felt that 6 was enough:) _________________ “The farther backward you can look, the farther forward you are likely to see.” Winston Churchill |
