Unfortunately I'm up to my armpits in partially completed builds right now and I don't want to start any more builds (other than the stuff I'm already comitted to) until I've cleared my desk a bit.....Yes, Squarehead finally has a modeling desk!**
All the best

I know what you mean regarding the unfinished builds, have plenty on the go myself at the moment
Congratulations on getting the modelling desk and indeed the dedicated modelling room, the stuff of dreams in the stuzzar household at the moment
Cheers

It has been a while since we had a Military Vehicle Group Build so I thought I would put a few ideas forward.
In the past we have had the following suggestions:
Post War Group Build
Jesper has suggested a Post War Group Build, possibilities here are the 1/72 (1/76) Bristol Bloodhound, Centurion, Chieftan, Leopard, Sam 2 Missile, Scorpion, Sheridan, Stalin as well as a great many of the ex JB kits. Other possibilities would be the Sherman, Panzer IV, T34 and StuG all of which saw service in various armies after WW2 as did many of the soft skin vehicles that Airfix produce. In 1/35th There is the Challenger and the DUKW, so quite a large range of kits to chose from there.
Land Rover Group Build
Dan suggested a Land Rover Group Build, here we have the Land Rover featured in the Bloodhound kit as well as the various ex JB kits of this vehicle, in the larger scales there was I believe a 1/40th scale kit of a Land Rover as well as the slightly larger one featured in the Shaun the Sheep kit
German Armour Group Build
I quite fancy having a go at one of the German Tanks: Panther, Tiger, Leopard or Panzer IV and although it is not strictly a tank the StuG III all would be candidates for this build.
So a few things to consider there, any other options are of course always welcome.
Cheers

I'm a bit stuck for options from that lot.....German armour is the only option that is even slightly viable for me and my choices there are limited to vehicles in service around late 1940.
If it is chosen, I'll probably go for the German Recon Set or another Pz.IV Ausf D conversion (I have inadvertently deleted all the pictures of my last one!).
All the best

Actually, time permitting I'd be interested in all three. Well, the first two anyway, the third at a pinch. _________________ The most important aspect of modelling is ... ta-daaaah ... fun! Surprised? |

I think I may as well do a poll to see what interest there is. Any other suggestions before I set one up

How about 'Armour In The Far-East'.....AFVs in WWII China, Burma and the Pacific.
This could include:
25Pdr & Quad
Bofors Gun & Tractor
Buffalo
Chi-Ha
GMC
IS-3 (Versus Chi-Ha.....Talk about overkill! )
Jeep
Lee/Grant
Matador & 5.5" Gun
Matilda
T-34
Sd.Kfz 222
Sherman (For those of us with M4A2 conversion sets at any rate! )
Vickers Mk.VI (India Pattern)
etc.
If we were to add in the Korean War and Vietnam, the choice would be even wider.
Just a thought, all the best

Why not , offers a good range of kits to choose from and will help to supplement my meagre Far Eastern armoury if picked as the group build I will leave the poll until Monday to give others a chance of suggesting topics but this is how it stands at the moment
Armour in the Far East
German Armour
Land Rovers
Post WW2
Cheers

I have set up a poll for the next Military Vehicle Group Build at the following link
http://airfixtributeforum.myfastforum.org/view-poll16593-0-asc.html
Choices consist of the 3 remaining subjects from the last poll
Land Rover GB
German WW2 vehicle GB
Military vehicles in the Far East WW2 GB
You will note that some of the original titles have been changed to protect the innocent
Cheers
