Great result Tom. I have to admit I was a bit worried when it was in grey primer but its turned out very well.

I hope to be along at the weekend, just waiting for another tube of filler to harden...

Finally made it! Needs some tweaking and some more decalling before it is truly finished but near enough is OK for me on this one.

Lovely finish Colin! We will get around to ours and we will post it here - promise! Just waiting for some other builds to clear out of the way first.

Yours looks fab even if you did miss some decals - it's not like Concorde has vast numbers anyway and too many would risk spoiling the clean livery. Would you recommend a quick coat of liquid decal film on the decals to stop the wrinkling problem? It's a known problem with other Airfix airliner decals, particularly from the early 1990s, but I though they'd fixed it.

Cheers,

Dan

Hats off to you two for specialising in white glossy things with complex decals!

The decals on mine were odd. The carrier film was very thin. As I slid them off the backing paper they curled under themselves. If I slid them back on the paper, they stuck fast to it.

The coloured parts were nice and dense, but the carrier was flimsy which made the crinkly effect. I've not used decal film so can't really comment. I can send you my spare decals if you want to try it out.

Don't worry - we can test it out on a decal from one of the liveries that we don't use.

You could always fix it to your car's roof - imagine the looks as you blat around the M25....
