After a lot of headscratching I've decide that I'll be building a Martin Marauder as 'The Yankee Guerilla'. Pictures to follow. _________________ So many kits, so little time |

Good luck, TimJ! And have an enjoyable build.
You might enjoy finding The Yankee Guerrilla's place in B26 production history. If so have a look here:
http://www.marylandaviationmuseum.org/pdf/B26_spec.pdf
Did you know that the Martin Company's name for the B26 project was "Martian"? It was the British Purchasing Mission who started calling it Marauder. You'd think that the god of war would sound more martial than that.
Most Marauders were built in Middle River, Maryland, just outside Baltimore. There is a museum there that I should visit sometime.
Enjoy your build. |

Good choice TimJ. This is a really nice kit, one of Airfix's best.
Looking forward to seeing your build progress, I really must get round to finishing mine one day! _________________ "It's life Jim, but not as we know it!" - Dr McCoy

I'll be interested to watch this one progress.....I've been waiting to grab the right boxing of this kit for myself. IIRC it was one of the best kits in the old Airfix range, so it will be interesting to see how it fits together today.
Good luck with your build, all the best

If the sprue shots are anything to go by, she'll go together as nicely as one of those that came from the mould when new! _________________ Bubbly! |
