Hello all,
Does anyone know the method of making blast bags for ship's guns? I am hoping to re- start building the Tamiya 1/350 Tirpitz soon.

With thanks,

S.

Ayup Sunderland...

Welcome to ATF... Best on the web.

What about using PVA soaked tissue?

Hi Sunderland,

welcome to the forum - hope you enjoy it.

I've always used milliput, easy to shape and add creases (before it dries). can be smoothed with a wet finger/utensil/tool. Can be sanded and carved after drying.

Hope this helps,
Adrian

I put Humbrol filler into a syringe and pipe around the guns. When it's dry, sculpt.
