Salut les gars
After a little break,i start a new build.here is the hms Belfast,a town class cruiser, famous for is participation in the hunt for the Sharhnorst  and the Dday landing. The airifx kit is one of the most correct kit series and an oob built must considered. But has usual for me i have decided to upgraded this kit in my habitual way
For this ship i have decided to represented all the wooden decks with engraved plasticard for a better realistic look and as usual a beautifull WEM pe stuf...

See you soon for the next, amitiés Rémy

I'm looking forward to seeing this build progress

A silly question, perhaps, but did the ship change much during its service life and if so which period are you going to model?

Changes mainly concern the AA weapons   and I represent the vessel in 43 when her escorts duty in the Arctic ocean...

Hey all

Great build orinov, the changes your making look great .

The biggest change I can think of to the ship was the rebuilding of the bridge during a refit from 56-59.  This enclosed the bridge, the gunnery control was modernized and the AA weapons replaced.

Belive she may not have always had the catapult either but if this is true and when it was changed I have no idea :shurg: .

Now now Walrus behave- this is serious stuff!
Remy would have to build the bridge, the Tower of London and the river banks and associated buildings. He's not into architectural stuff- that's my province. I'm just back from the land of the Gauls and Germani and Belgaie- full of foreign germs so I've got a raging cold as has Madame. Grrrr....
Remy- this is looking superb- keep up the good work

Ayup Remy,
tiny tiny bits and hordes of em- grrr... makes the old eyes go glym.
How do you do it? Oerlikons at 1/600? Obviously lots of Mad Pete's creations- and I struggle with 1/400.
Keep up the good work.
cheers Stu
ps I sent the Belfast stuff tonight.

Amazing models and a good way to test my broadband connection.  Love those super-size images!  The detail is incredible.
