I'm looking forward to it! I'll be traveling up tomorrow (Friday) afternoon so will be near Telford where I'm staying late in the evening.
I'll be there early on Saturday - if the rear entrance opens at 7:30, I'll try and be there shortly afterwards, but how do you get access to the rear door? On Google Maps, there is a road that leads to the rear of the centre from the roundabout, is this the "rear door"? I've got half a dozen boxes - would it be possible for someone to give me a hand with them when I arrive?
Cheers,

Colin has most of my kits that are to be displayed, and I'll be dropping most of the remainder off with Rich tonight. I'll then be arriving as close to 9 as I can tomorrow morning. _________________ Cheers,

I am heading off to Euston shortly to get the train. Will be happy to lend a hand to anyone that needs it. I have PM'd Rich my contact details so presumably he will co-ordinate the lifting and carrying.
Looking forward to meeting up with everyone, any plans for a gathering tonight
Cheers

Ayup P&D...
OK, I guess...
I mainly enjoyed meeting all those peeps from around the country that I'd missed during the normal show season. It was nice to meet RichM, and talk Airfix with the Punters... The Modelling public DO share a Common heritage with Airfix as a starting point, and the old Nostalgia glands were glowing with a lot of people recalling fond memories, with praise for the SIG in displaying so many well-made examples.
I was asked constantly 'Why all the Aircraft ?' and i replied by saying that we can only display what members send, and what Interests us... and that we hope to get some more Airfix Diversity on the table in time.
But the public have to acknowledge that we as SIG members, can't be responsible for buying and displaying everything ever made ! _________________ Airfix Member 022... Jolly Boy.

Hi Dan
I suspect a lot of folk got home late and tired yesterday, I only got home myself this afternoon. The show was extremly busy on Saturday, quieter, but still buzzing on Sunday. The two minutes silence, preceeded by a bugler was extremely moving, with several thousand people in the halls at the time. £2000 was raised for Help 4 Heroes.
I thought the AMSIG display was magnificent, everything from Robin Hood to Saturn V with everything in between, including a rather nice HMS Illustrious from Rich. The display was a great credit to the team.
Traders reported very brisk business, Dr Who's K9 was doing donuts, Daleks were demanding money with menaces and there were some nice new kits to see, including the long awaited 1/24 Mosquito.
There are some photos and feedback on the IPMS forums
http://ipmsuk.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=smw09 including some shots of the set up with more to be added soon.
I'm sure Ratch, Rich and the rest of the team will be along soon with some views and photos of the stand.
Best

| For me it was a good show despite leaving a model behind by accident. It was nice to meet you all and a big thank you to you all for helping carry the models from the car and pack them up at the end of the day. We got home safely and just in time to go to my local fireworks display. |
