Ahhh. the Endeavor- I built this when it first appeared- my first large scale sailing ship. I'm now jealous because the original didn't have the sails- they came later. Grrr.....
Nice build there...

Here is my attempt. Painted like the Australian Maritime Museum's replica which I think is more appealing than the standard khaki brown. There is a slight modification to the stern to replicate, erm, the replica. The flag was "home made" as the stickers that come with the kit are too glossy and toy like. The sail weathering could be better and the rat lines too but, on the whole, a pleasing kit. More classic sailing ships for me in the future.

One that found it's way to a hobby shop in Anchorage, Alaska. Anchorage stands on the shore of Cook Inlet & there's a statue of Captain Cook overlooking the inlet from the end of 3rd Avenue...just up the street & around the corner from the Captain Cook Hotel. It was HMS Discovery that explored Alaskan waters, but there's no kit for that one...

Thanks guys.

Looking at these photos, though, I wish I had gone for Ian's choice of copper oxide on the bottom...

Excellent job - what was the technique to get the woodlike finish on the hull ?

Superb Endeavours everyone. The more I see of these sort of things the more I want to try one. 8-)

Some wood techniques were posted here some time back.
