I'm finishing off an Airfix Ajax for SMW, and I'd appreciate anything showing where the ladders, rails, hatches and doors went!
Off google, all the pictures are lousy!
Cheers,
Bruce

I've got the destructions, if that might help. I can't scan them in at the mo (school calls!), but I could do them this evening. _________________ Owen

No thanks, Owen, I'm after something more detailed than that. _________________ “The farther backward you can look, the farther forward you are likely to see.” Winston Churchill |

Thanks for that, Steve. I didn't manage to finish the Ajax in time for the show, but your stuff is really useful. _________________ “The farther backward you can look, the farther forward you are likely to see.” Winston Churchill |

Inspirational.
And yet somewhat daunting! Seeing your build review and references will spur me on with the Daring project. Yet I fear it will stand no comparison. I was wondering what scale and kit it was as I jumped straight to the pictures. Astonished to see she is the 1/600 Airfix. Stunning!
Incidently, I have the Matchbox Seafox kit which got butchered by my enthusiasm for rescribing panel lines even when they aren't panel lines Think I can rescue it but getting around to my point- I am absolutely delighted to see pictures of Ajax's Seafox. There are not too many pictures of the Seafox, this is a real find for me so thankyou. Will be trying to build it "fairly" soon and will finish her as K8582.
Sorry Brews-new to this game hope your build is going well-really should have sent this to Steven apologies will delete if you want. _________________ Cold War GB-Harrier GR1 (hovering)

| I can't help you with Ajax plans but I do have courtesy of a contact in the RAN a set of plans for HMAS Sydney with a few minor differences ie the funnels, aircraft catapault and the area around the 4"AA guns. Most of the deck fittings and hatches are pretty similar. Mind you the plans are several metres(or feet) long would a copy help? |
