More good work Bruce, the 38 is a kit I have somewhere which I won in a raffle a few years ago, nice to see one built.

Regards
Mark

Thanks for your kind words, Mark.

Has it been 3 months since I've finished a kit??? There must be something I've finished! While I think about it, here is a Pzkw IIF in Deutsche Afrika Korps markings.

Image

This vehicle was sprayed in Anthrazitgrau, then in Afrikabraun. The harsh Khamsins have worn away much of the Afrikabraun, although the national and unit markings have been relatively recently resprayed). Based on photos in a book, and a little contrary to Tamiya's suggested 'freshly-painted' finish :)

Thanks, Buzz. The cupola is not glued down, and I do have a partly-painted commander to stick in it. I've mislaid his pistol holster, but if he's in the cupola then he can't have it on anyway. The kit comes with 5 figures, four of which are DAK infantry, one with an MG34, two with MP38/40 and one with a Mauser rifle. I bought a set of Dragon DAK Panzergrenadier for the purpose of a diorama with this kit (and possibly the Flak 38 ... we'll see if I do include that). The Dragon figures include an MG34 and an MG42 - plenty of automatic fire in that little group :)

Enough fire-power to keep heads down!! ha..ha!!
I have a couple of armoured models built for other people. I didn't put the crew figures in as they were not bothered. I think they add a little bit more interest. Dragon are producing some really good figures at the moment. I would like to do something in the future with figures included.Maybe a big Tiger and Grenadiers on top??

Thanks, James.

The latest addition is a Revell Messerschmitt P.1101 Nightfighter in spurious camo. This plane flew as the Bell X-5. Bell placed the tailplane in a more conventional position, however, and it had stability issues. If they'd kept the tailplane high ... but that's another story.

Your Messerschmitt P.1101 is really interesting.  Impressive build.

Thanks, well, I know I've finished something this year. Oh, maybe I haven't .... wait:

Image

Airfix 1:72 Hunter F.6, with scratchbuilt 1:450 Hunter. I have a 1:210 Hunter scratchbuild in progress (fuselage only complete at this stage).

I do have a few to finish, I have to admit.

Nice to see you are still at it Bruce, good job on the diddy Hunter but why have you used the Olly for the photo and not the D5000, the Nikon takes the better photo.  :D

Regards
Mark
