Hello all, only joined the forum in September 2010. Been modelling plastic model kits for quite a few years now,on and off. Really got back into it 2009 with a mad build of Tamiya Skyraiders?? Gave them to a friends son who no doubt flies them around his bedroom on nightly sorties!
I have no affiliation to any type but not really into ships. Served in the British Army for 11 years as a tank crewman on Chieftain and Challenger MBT's. Am saving up for an Accurate Armour Stillbrew conversion as it was mainly Chieftains that i served on and drove, becoming the Troop Leaders driver .
Hope to get as involved as i can here and look forward to looking at all your posts and builds.

Thanks for all the positives guys. Got a few to build and hope they are worthy to put on here. I'm always looking for new techniques and ideas and have got lots of inspiration from looking at your model builds on this site.
Here is one of my favourite helicopters, the Wessex as an RAF search and rescue version.

Fantastic set of models, buzz973.
I'm not into helicopters, but seeing yours makes me want to give it a go.

Cheers buzz. I'm going to have a go at one of those. I've always liked the Wessex. I don't expect to reach your standard just yet though!

Time ,my friend, just take your time and a steady hand. Thankyou for the praise. I also like to get as much info as i can before and during the build. I am also a builder out of the box, rarely buying etched parts or resin. I have just started to use a bit of scratch card here and there and tape for seat belts. It generally gets the desired effect and at the end of the day.....i'm happy with the end result :D
